Living Well

June 4, 2012

JW Guanacaste Spa TreatmentWhen we launched the JW Marriott brand, which is named after my father, we envisioned something really special.  We like to describe the brand’s unique personality as “quiet luxury” – a first class experience that lacks pretense, but strives to enhance the guest experience with art, nutrition, culture and overall well-being.

We also teamed up our JW Marriott hotels with some of the world’s leading luxury brands such as Christie’s auction house, Treasury Wine Estates and Aromatherapy Associates, and wellness experts Keri Glassman and Dr. Pamela Peeke – all in an effort to give our guests a luxury experience that speaks to their passions and interests.

At our recent Global General Managers Conference in Los Angeles, JW Marriott’s unique collection of partners shared some of their insights and exclusive offerings. Check out this video and let me know what you think.

I’m Bill Marriott and thanks for helping me keep Marriott on the move.

One of the reasons I chose to work for Marriott amongst other companies in the hospitality industry is because of this: the desire to do well, not just satisfy one's budget and basic needs, but to achieve subtle greatness and redefine the industry. I am so glad to see the climate and atmosphere the JW brand brings to my hometown capital of Indianapolis, and as an employee of Residence Inn in northern, I watched the JW Indy green efforts on youtube, which I thoroughly enjoyed, especially coming from an environmental science background. Thank you very much, Bill Marriott, for leading this company in a direction I'm sure will lead to greater prosperity and a positive impact for all.

Go Marriott :)

This is wonderful

We stayed at the Towneplace Suites by Marriott in Houston,TX on June 2-3,2012 for my daughter's graduation celebration to 6th grade. The staff was friendly and helpful as we were getting out of the car!! The property was clean as were the rooms and any area of the hotel that we ventured into. Justin, Front Desk Manager was SUPER HELPFUL, really kind and overextended himself to the fullest to make sure our stay was PHENOM!!!!The young lady that did breakfast Sunday morning was AMAZING!! I had * kids and she catered to them like they were her own and all the while providing excelent customer service to the other patrons....with a SMILE!!The price wss affordable and was a nice to have the option to stay at such a reknowned brand on graduation weekend wthout breaking the bank. The decor was so cute by the way..I LOVE RED!! i would definitely stay again !!!! Thank you for making such a special moment in my duaghter's life such a major event!!!!

Looks like the event took place at the JW Marriott in Los Angeles, I have yet to stay there! My last JW Marriott stay was in Miami and I really appreciated the extra touches of luxury as compared to regular Marriott hotels. Everything was a little more "upscale." Service was outstanding, as expected. Writing this reply from the Ypsilanti MI Marriott!
